Here is a screencastify of me reading a poem. We need to read clearly, with good pace fluency and expression.

Term 4 Art

This term we have completed two pieces of art.

One was inspired by an artist named Kadinsky who used coloured circles in his work.
We looked at the contrast between warm and cool colours and the black and white of the buildings.

Our second piece was using the Maori words we have learnt and using these to create a visual picture. The words become the shape of the picture.

One thing I did well was my buildings.

One thing I could improve on is my background

Telling the time

We have been learning to tell the time. I know how to tell the time in o'cock. I'm working on half past, quarter to, quarter past. Here is my work that I did on telling the time and I hope you like it...

Vaseline Saucer

a couple of days ago we made Vaseline saucers for  pets day.
We put flowers on our vasline saucers .
The winners were  Teagan, Ella and Kristy.

Christmas tree

 Today Team Awa were making Christmas poems. We were sketching a Christmas tree. We needed to write ideas about Christmas .Then we wrote it down on our chrome book and made a poem and put our sketching tree on our writing. Here is my work.

Handwriting Term 4

We have been learning to form our letters correctly and to use capital letters in the correct place.

I am good at Writing tidily.

I need to get better at sitting my letters on the line.

Kapa Haka Cultural Festival

Today is the Kapa Haka cultural festival. We are performing in Kaikohe. I am in the middle of the front row. Here is a photo of me in my Kapa Haka dress.

Last week we had our Greats and Grands day. We wrote poems for our grandparents. Here is my poem about why my grandparents are so special.

Basic Facts Term 3

In Team Awa, at maths time we have been practising basic facts on our Chrome-Books called Prototec. And a few days ago we did a test on paper. I got 6/60 for Stage 4.

Kauri Tree Art

1. First we got our white and grey crayons and drew our clouds then put blue dye on our paper.

2. Secondly we did finger painting for our trunk.

3. Thirdly we put painted pieces of paper and ripped them up as leaves.

Multiplication

We have been learning to work out multiplication problems involving 2 times tables. Here is some work I did. I needed a bit of help.

Garden to table

Each week at garden to table we are either in the kitchen cooking or in the garden planting, watering or weeding. I like planting cabbage. I like eating carrot muffins.

We have been learning ow to play golf

I liked to hit the ball.

I am good at swinging the club correctly

I need to work on getting the ball up in the air.
